OUR Year 6 King’s Ely Junior pupils have been celebrating National School Sport Week in their Physical Education (PE) lessons all this week!

The campaign – overseen by the Youth Sport Trust – takes place in the last week of June every year to celebrate the important role of PE and school sport in enhancing young people’s well-being.

Charlotte Fletcher, Head of Girls’ Games and Athletics at King’s Ely Junior, said: “Our Year 6’s have enjoyed a wide variety of activities this week, including ‘Design your own Mascot’, ‘Freestyle Skiing’, ‘Biathlon’, ‘Roll the Dice Fitness Challenge’, a skipping competition and lots more athletics events! The pupils have all thrived in the challenges, all of which adhered to the current social distancing rules.”
