Today (June 20th) marked the final A-Level exam for our Year 13 students, and this evening our Year 11 pupils will celebrate the completion of their GCSE exams with their Formal Dinner and Prom!
Mr Jonathan Shaw, who is Head of King's Ely Senior, said: "Well done and congratulations to everyone for reaching the end of an intensive and demanding period of study. Thank you to each of you as parents and guardians for your support along the way. The exam season places pressure on everyone involved, and for those with children in Year 11 and Year 13, I hope you too can now take a moment to relax and celebrate this important milestone.
"I would particularly like to acknowledge and thank our teachers for their thorough preparation and continued support of students throughout this period. In addition, I want to express our thanks for the exceptional work of the Examinations Office. Led by Mrs Liz Stearn and ably supported by Mrs Ainsley Grant, they oversee a large team of invigilators, liaise with exam boards, and ensure numerous rooms are set up properly for pupils taking their exams. Their expertise, professionalism, and dedication ensure that the exam process runs smoothly and that any challenges are swiftly addressed. We are incredibly fortunate to have such a committed and capable team overseeing this crucial aspect of school life. They do a magnificent job."
Last year's Year 11 Prom, pictured, was also blessed with glorious weather. We hope everyone has an awesome evening!
