Our Year 2 King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep pupils enjoyed lunch in the Monastic Barn this afternoon (Tuesday June 13th)!
Mr Dean’s and Miss Seymour’s classes made the most of the glorious weather by donning their sunhats and walking over to the Barn, passing the Old Palace and the Cathedral along the way.
This was the Year 2s’ second lunch at the Barn, which is where our pupils in Years 3 to 13 eat every day. Acremont’s visits were organised as part of our Year 2 to Year 3 Transition Programme.
Our Pre-Prep to Prep Transition Programme also includes swimming sessions at King’s Ely Junior, Year 3 Teacher familiarisation activities, and our whole school ‘Move-up Morning’ in the Summer Term. Close communication between our Year 2 and Year 3 Teaching Teams ensures that this important transition is a very positive experience!
