Our Year 2 King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep pupils popped over to King’s Ely Junior again this week as part of our Year 2 to Year 3 Transition Programme.

Both Miss Seymour’s and Mr Dean’s classes enjoyed Coding activities with ‘Dash Robots’ and Mr Everest, who is Head of Key Stage 2 and Computing and Digital Innovation.

Working in pairs, the children were shown how to use different coding sequences to make their robots’ lights and eye patterns change.

Our Pre-Prep to Prep Transition Programme also includes swimming sessions at King’s Ely Junior, lunch in the Monastic Barn, Year 3 Teacher familiarisation activities, and our whole school ‘Move-up Morning’ in the Summer Term. Close communication between our Year 2 and Year 3 Teaching Teams ensures that this important transition is a very positive experience!
