Our Year 1 pupils at King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep are having a blast learning all about space!
Just before half term, the children worked in small groups and used different sources of information, such as books, fact files, and the ‘Kiddle’ website, to investigate and jot down interesting facts about our solar system in preparation for some non-fiction writing.
In Science, the children enjoyed learning a song and a ‘mnemonic’ to help them remember the order of the planets, and they created a fold-out booklet which included said order, alongside some facts and stats. In Art, the children are creating some vibrant pictures of the solar system using a variety of oil pastels!
