MAY 25th’s Year 12 Acting Technique Club saw students exploring adaptation.

The group enjoyed an interesting assortment of props and costumes to help realise a new version of the classic fairy tales of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’ and ‘The Enchanted Pig’.

Alexandra Moxon, King’s Ely’s Director in Residence, said: “Adaptation can be a challenging skill to master but the group used brilliant and inventive creative choices to reimagine these stories, keeping true to their origin but reworking them into hugely entertaining short pieces of theatre.

“The students have covered a range of techniques and skills this half term, from clowning to melodrama and adaptation to realism, and have thoroughly embraced all these challenges. The sessions have been a real highlight on a Tuesday afternoon.”
