OUR Senior House Debating Final took place on June 28th and saw Withburga House and Etheldreda House debating the motion: ‘Monuments to historical figures should remain’.
Lead adjudicator and Head of English at King’s Ely Senior, Dr Daniel Gabelman, commented on the impressive level of research and the high quality of the arguments from both sides, but it was Withburga, who argued against the motion, who were declared the eventual winners.
