OUR Senior Boys’ House Hockey Tournament was held in the final week of term.

Chanré Bond, Head of Girls’ Games and Teacher of PE at King’s Ely Senior, said: “There was a brilliant turnout for the tournament! Each House entered a full 11-a-side team, which made it a very competitive tournament. The atmosphere was electric and the supporters cheered their players on.

“The matches were closely contested with each and every player putting their best effort in for their team. Overall, the standard of play was good with several standout performances from each House.

“After a round robin of matches, both Wilkinson and Hereward were on equal footing. The winning team therefore had to be decided by goal difference. Wilkinson scored one more goal, so took the honours and were crowned 2021 Senior Boys’ House Hockey Champions!

“The final standings for the tournament were as follows:

1st – Wilkinson
2nd – Hereward
3rd – Osmond
4th – School

“Thank you to all the players, supporters and umpires who helped make this a great inter-House competition!”
