OUR Year 13 A Level Drama and Theatre students completed their NEA practical assessments during the last week of term.

Pupils combined World War One stories with their chosen theatre practitioner, Frantic Assembly, to create devised pieces of drama. They had the extra challenge of creating the pieces over Microsoft Teams during lockdown, and then swiftly put their ideas into action from March 8th until assessment day on March 24th.

Nick Huntington, Director of Drama and Theatre at King’s Ely, said: “Despite the tight turn around, both pieces showed outstanding creativity and deployment of skill. Congratulations to all involved!”

‘For the Fallen’ involved Taku Gomera, Martha Lansley, Jamie Layfield, Stella Bluck (set design) and Florence Morgan (director).

‘The Lost Generation’ involved Alfie Peckham, Billy Pinto and Freddie Bowles.

Both pieces can be viewed here on Vimeo – https://vimeo.com/528485619 – please note there is an age guidance of 12+.
