CONGRATULATIONS to our Under 14A Hockey girls for their sterling efforts at the England Hockey Tier 2 Regional Competition in Cambridge on November 12th.
Having drawn their first match against Bedford Modern School, the girls won their next two games against Saffron Walden County High School and Stamford with dynamic performances.
However, Cranbrook School and Coopers’ Company and Coborn School proved a sterner test in the next two games and our girls ended the competition winning two matches, drawing one and losing two overall, to secure a commendable fourth place.
Well done to all of the girls involved – some excellent hockey was played in very challenging conditions. The girls qualified for the competition after winning their Tier 2 County Tournament in October.
