CONGRATULATIONS to King’s Ely Sixth Form student, Pim Mahikote, who has achieved her DipABRSM (Diploma of The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) with the flute.

Pim, who is in Year 13, started playing the flute in Year 8 and says she loves how versatile the instrument is.

She said: “For my DipABRSM, I had to perform a 35 minute recital, provide a programme of notes, discuss the musical elements of my chosen pieces in the exam and do a sight-reading test. I am so glad that I passed! It has always been my goal so it is a big relief for me.”

Pim, who is studying Music, Maths and Politics at A Level, also plays the French Horn and Piccolo.

Well done Pim – what an achievement!
