CONGRATULATIONS to our 14 Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) students who have been presenting their project findings to staff and students in the Old Palace Lecture Theatre over the last fortnight!

A total of 21 Year 13 students are studying EPQs this year and topics so far have been as varied as ever, including medieval queenship, female rebellion in the 19th Century, sustainable fashion, the creation of a more efficient aircraft and retirement facilities for people with dementia, to name just a few.

Dr Inga Jones, our EPQ Coordinator, said: “All candidates performed extraordinarily well and hopefully inspired the current Year 11 and 12 cohorts to consider studying an EPQ in the future.”

At King’s Ely Sixth Form, we offer students the chance to study an EPQ alongside their A Levels. The qualification offers a unique opportunity for students to extend themselves and to significantly boost their university applications.
