Our second Easter Rowing Camp at The King’s School, Canterbury was just as great as the first!

Twelve of our rowing students from Years 11-13 headed to Canterbury for their camp from April 5th-12th. This was only a few days after thirty-five students from Years 9 and 10 had been there for their camp – report here: King’s Ely Boat Club heads to The King’s School, Canterbury for Easter Rowing Camp – King’s Ely (kingsely.org)

Mr Craig Ward, Head of Rowing at King’s Ely, said: “The Years 11-13 Camp entailed three water sessions a day to work on technique and crew formation before the National Schools’ Regatta and the busy summer season ahead. Despite the fatigue and intensity of these sessions, our rowers were fully committed and made fantastic progress throughout the week.”

Thank you The King’s School, Canterbury for your fantastic hospitality during both camps – lots of new skills were learnt, many laughs were had, and plentiful memories were made!
