Life’s a beach for our King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep pupils, and more so than ever this week!
Both our Reception classes headed to the Norfolk Coast on Thursday May 18th for an action-packed day of learning and fun at the seaside. The children’s current topic is ‘Beside the Seaside’, where they are exploring oceans as a habitat, and seaside life and activities of the past and present.
Their adventure began with a visit to SEA LIFE Hunstanton. The children enjoyed rock pool workshops and were able to get close and personal with a whole host of ocean creatures, including starfish, seahorses, sharks, and penguins.
After lots of marine life learning, pupils and staff headed to Old Hunstanton Beach for a picnic, ice creams, sandcastle building, beach combing, and some transient art inspired by Andy Goldsworthy OBE.
The children all behaved impeccably and they have been nattering non-stop about their seaside shenanigans ever since!
