ALL of our Year 9 students took part in a series of Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) workshops on November 6th.

Mr Humphry led a session on effective note-taking, Miss Kyndt hosted a workshop on memory development, Ms Keen led a session on exam techniques, Mr Hawes informed students on how to get the most out of Firefly and Mr Urwin ran a session on becoming independent learners.

Revd Dr Lane, the school’s Chaplain, and Mr Roberts from the charity Tearfund, also ran a workshop where students were encouraged to think about how they could really make a difference to people’s lives through their education, opportunities and inner resources and talents.

Head of PSHE at King’s Ely Senior, Mr Urwin, said: “We hope the afternoon was useful and informative, and that it gave our Year 9 students some motivation as they prepare for their forthcoming assessments.”
