Six King’s Ely Prep pupils have achieved the first level of their King’s Challenge Award!

Congratulations to Henry, Kitty, Owen, Freya, Samuel and Jenny, who have all been presented with their King’s Challenge Award badges by our Principal, Mr John Attwater.

We launched the King’s Challenge Award at Prep School in the 2023 Michaelmas Term.

Similar in style to the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award for Senior-age students, if Prep pupils wish to take on the challenge, they have to complete certain categories – Leadership, Service, Adventure, and Self Improvement.

For example, for her Leadership category, Freya is a School Librarian and a member of the School Eco Committee. For his Service category, Henry has been litter-picking in his village and he wrote a letter to his local MP.

Lots of Prep pupils are working towards their King’s Challenge Award this term, and we look forward to celebrating all the enriching things they are doing over the coming weeks!
