Our Year 11 and Year 13 students are now on optional study leave!

Their last day of formal lessons was on Friday 12th May, and to mark the occasion, pupils and staff in School House, which is one of our Senior Boys’ Day and Boarding Houses, organised a barbecue.

Not only were shirts and blouses signed, and burgers, hot dogs and ice creams devoured, but a fabulous £520 was raised for School House’s chosen charities this year – Hope4Malawi and the Movember Foundation.

Jonathan Shaw, Head of King’s Ely Senior, said: “We wish our Year 11s and Year 13s the very best for the coming weeks, and we encourage them to take care of themselves and each other. Dr Rangan Chatterjee’s ‘Four Pillar Plan’, encouraging us to relax (take breaks), eat (healthily), move (exercise), and sleep, provides an excellent framework for negotiating the challenges of revision.”
