OLD Elean, Zoe Whelan, is working on the frontline as an Emergency Care Assistant for the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust.
Zoe, who is from Ely and who left King’s Ely Sixth Form in 2017/18, said: “I am working as an Emergency Care Assistant during this COVID-19 time. I am also continuing my studies at home as I am in my second year of studying to become a paramedic. It is scary sometimes but ultimately worth it to be making a difference to my community and to be helping however I can.”
