WE were delighted to welcome Old Elean Ollie Saunders back into school on December 6th.

Ollie, who was Head of Osmond House from 2014-15, attended Osmond’s Assembly and talked to the boys about his recent ‘No Spoilers – Mongol Rally’ adventure.

As many of you will have read on here earlier this year, Ollie and fellow Old Elean Charlie Tonge were among four people who took on the epic 10,000 mile adventure across the world in a small, 1.2 litre Volkswagen Polo.

The group took on the challenge to not only tick a lot of things off their bucket lists but to also raise as much money as they could for three charities – Cool Earth, Help for Heroes and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.

The team have raised just under £5,000 for the charities so far.

Housemaster of Osmond, Paul Lott, pictured here with Ollie, said: “Ollie was very inspiring and made the students think about how they could make use of their time productively during any gap years. It was great to see him back in school sporting his Osmond tie!”
