KING’S Ely Junior pupil, Niamh Quinn, has raised more than £600 for Guide Dogs UK.

Niamh, who is in Year 6, decided to take on the charity’s ‘Walk Your Socks Off’ campaign by topping up 500,000 steps throughout May. Niamh achieved her target and did a lot of the walking with her beloved dog, Ainsworth.

Together they raised a brilliant £650 for the charity, which was founded in 1934 and supports the two million people living with sight loss in the UK to live the life they choose.

Niamh is over the moon to have received a whole host of goodies from the charity, as well as a hand-written thank you card and letter from a guide dog owner.

Well done Niamh (and Ainsworth)!
