‘NATIONAL Mythistory’ was the theme of King’s Ely Senior’s first History Cafe of the new academic year.

Head of History, Colin Currie, delivered the talk, exploring the development of ideas of nationalism from the nineteenth century, and how these ideas have subsequently facilitated the construct of ‘national mythistories’.

Turnout for the event was great, with students in Year 9 through to 13 attending to expand their History knowledge.

History Cafe returns on September 26th when Mr Lowery will talk to students about Florence Nightingale.
