KING’S Ely Sixth Form student and Ely Cathedral Organ Scholar, Miriam Reveley, has recorded a virtual organ recital for Selwyn College, Cambridge.

In her recital on November 15th, Miriam performs a fabulous programme, including music by J. S. Bach, Herbert Sumsion, and Jeanne Demessieux.

You can enjoy the recital here:

Miriam, who has been a student at King’s Ely since joining in Year 9 as a member of Ely Cathedral Girls’ Choir, was awarded the school’s Sixth Form Organ Scholarship in conjunction with Ely Cathedral, and she is currently studying Music, History and Religious Studies at A Level, whilst upholding all of her original commitments in the Cathedral Choir.

Earlier this year, Miriam, 17, not only passed the examination for the Colleague of the Royal College of Organists (CRCO) – an achievement very rare for someone of school age for whom it was their first organ exam – but she also won numerous Royal College of Organists (RCO) prizes.

Miriam hopes to study Music as an Organ Scholar at Cambridge or Oxford University, with the view to pursuing a career as a professional musician, either as an organist or director of music.
