PRINCIPAL of King’s Ely, Sue Freestone, and two members of Ely Cathedral Girls’ Choir, Indea Cranner and Emma Yembe, attended a service at Southwark Cathedral on May 21st organised to celebrate the 175th anniversary of the Reedham Children’s Trust.
Accompanied by Sue on piano, Emma and Indea both sang Robert Pearsall’s ‘Peace unto you’ at what was an incredibly moving service.
The trust has been providing support for vulnerable and disadvantaged children since its launch in 1844 by Rev Dr Andrew Reed, one of the great Victorian philanthropists.
