YEAR 13 leaver, Lisa Lyu, is off to University College London after achieving the A Level grades she needed this summer.

We had a quick catch-up with Lisa before she starts her new adventure:

Lisa, in which year group did you join King’s Ely?

“I joined King’s in Year 11 in 2017 when I finished my middle school in my hometown.”

Which University/Institution are you going to and what will you be studying?

“I’m going to be studying Physics at UCL for four years.”

What career path do you hope to pursue?

“Although my future career is not planned yet, I have some plans for theoretical research and experimental studies of physics, space engineering as well as environmental protection science.”

How do you think King’s Ely prepared you for University life?

“King’s has provided me with lots of ways to understand and prepare for the way in which studying at University requires more independence and critical thinking. I became more curious about learning and looked forward to beginning University life even when I was still preparing for my A Level exams.”

What will you miss most about King’s Ely and what did you enjoy most during your time here?

“It is too difficult to pick one thing so I’d like to say everything and everyone at King’s! My three years at King’s were so memorable and I gained so many new skills. I shared so much happiness with my friends and teachers.”
