YEAR 12 students enjoyed an action-packed ‘Life after King’s’ event on June 18th where members of teaching staff and representatives from numerous institutions, including the University of Cambridge and University of East Anglia, provided them with advice and support about everything from UCAS applications to degree apprenticeships.

The transition to higher education and graduate careers is, for almost all King’s Ely Sixth Form students, the vital next step after school. Sixth Formers at King’s Ely have consistently gained a place at their first choice university over many years, with a large number each year going to Russell Group universities.

In the Summer Term of Year 12, students participate in workshops focusing on choosing a course wisely and writing an effective personal statement. Some students choose to postpone their university application until after they receive their A Level results. The Sixth Form team at King’s Ely supports and advises these students, even after they have left the school.
