OUR ‘Life after King’s’ event for all Year 12 students on June 17th was a great success.

The day began with a presentation on ‘Employability in the 21st Century’, led by Old Elean Beatrice White, who works for PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Students then took part in a whole host of workshops led by members of the King’s Ely Sixth Form team and by Form the Future, who discussed all things Higher Apprenticeships.

Academics from the University of Cambridge and the New College of the Humanities also attended to run sessions on ‘Applications to Oxbridge’ and ‘Personal Statements for Applications to UK Universities’.

Aspiring medics and vets had their own session on how to apply for relevant courses and as well as being shown how to fill in the centralised application form for UK universities, students had a presentation on alternative, non-graduate routes into employment.
