King’s Ely students filmed for new series of BBC One Wales’ ‘Weatherman Walking’

A GROUP of King’s Ely students met and were filmed with BBC Weather’s Derek Brockway on July 30th.

Derek was walking from Harleck to Barmouth for his new series of BBC One Wales’ ‘Weatherman Walking’. The Wales Coast Path goes right through the CMC Adventure Centre at Pensarn Harbour in North Wales, where a group of our Junior and Senior students were enjoying a whole host of outdoor activities.

Derek joined the students just as they were learning how to make and sail a raft and the two-camera BBC crew filmed their efforts in the pouring rain.

The programme will be shown on BBC One Wales early next year (2020) and will then been available on BBC iPlayer.
