Esmeralda Salgado, Head of Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) at King’s Ely Senior, said: “The Language Leaders Award programme is open to Year 10 students who have a passion for languages and want to disseminate their linguistic expertise with the school community.

“They run language activities and have to teach two language lessons to younger students, albeit digitally this year. The national programme is run by Routes into Languages and seeks to develop leadership skills in our younger linguists while raising the profile of languages.

“Congratulations to you all!”
