MORE than 500 people watched our live streaming of the eagerly-anticipated King’s Ely Senior Vocal Festival Finalist Concert on December 14th evening – including dozens of people in America and Canada!

During the last fortnight, music-loving Senior students have been competing to win a place at the Finalist Concert, which was streamed live from the school’s Recital Hall for the first ever time.

To say the competition was fierce would be a slight understatement, and every single student who took part in the festival (held very differently this year due to the current circumstances) should be proud of their performances.

After much deliberation, our Adjudicator, classical mezzo soprano, vocal coach and singing teacher Evie Anderson, announced the winners as:

Intermediate Popular Prize: Sophia Garrard

Senior Classical Prize: Thomas Bateman

Intermediate Singer of the Year and winner of the Darren Jeffery Cup: Thomas Bateman

Senior Popular Prize: Paige Newell

Senior Classical Prize: Miriam Reveley

Senior Singer of the Year and winner of the James Bowman Cup: Miriam Reveley
