KING’S Ely Senior’s Bouldering Squad was out in force at the weekend for the third round of the National Bouldering League, Blokfest.

The competition took place at the newly-built Yonder Climbing Centre in London and all students performed very well, completing their set of 30 problems with enough time to join a free yoga class at the end.

The Senior Bouldering Squad is part of King’s Ely’s unique outdoor education programme – Ely Scheme. From the high peaks of the Andes and Himalayas to the gushing torrents of the rivers in the Alps, Ely Scheme offers boundless opportunities for pupils to explore and learn through outdoor education.

The unique programme is facilitated by specially selected and trained pupil instructors who deliver our activities and learn to become exceptional leaders.
