So much is happening at King’s Ely Junior (KEJ) and King’s Ely Senior (KES) this week to celebrate British Science Week!

This afternoon (March 15th), Isobel Smyth, Head of Biology at KES; Caroline Marshall, Science Technician at KES, and four of our A Level Biology students, Xenia Marshall, Elliot Bord, Alice O’Callaghan, and Georgia Gordon, popped over to KEJ with a bull’s heart and sheep’s lung.

Dissections of both the lung and the heart were a wonderful opportunity for our Year 8 pupils to get up close to two organs that they have been learning about in their Science lessons recently. There were also lots of volunteers to handle and inspect the organs – wearing gloves of course!
