MEMBERS of the King’s Ely Running Club put their best foot forward to mark #RunandTalk 2018.

Despite the wind and rain, the runners completed laps of Cherry Hill Park in Ely on January 29th whilst discussing the following with each other: ‘why do you run?’ and ‘how does running help keep you mentally healthy?’. There were some really interesting answers, mostly revolving around setting yourself targets, challenging yourself, staying healthy and enjoyment.

#RunandTalk is an England Athletics campaign supported by Mind, the mental health charity. Its aim is to improve mental wellbeing through running by getting people talking about mental health, sharing their experiences and removing stigma, raising awareness of mental health problems and supporting people experiencing mental health problems to start, return to and continue running.
