King’s Ely students donned their trainers and running vests to take part in the English Schools Athletics Association Cross Country Cup during half term.

Athletes from both Prep and Senior travelled to The Perse School on November 3rd to compete against pupils from eight other local schools.

Congratulations to Oliver Loveday, who came 2nd in his race; Alexandria Styles, who finished 3rd in her category; and Juliette Hames, who placed 8th in her race.

However, all students are to be commended for their efforts on the day – Alastair Wright, Max Wade-Gledhill, Eliza O’Donnell, Oliver Claydon, Ralph Williams, Ruben Wade-Gledhill, Alice Hills, and Beau Waterhouse.

For some of these students, this was their first ever competitive cross country race outside of school. Thank you to Miss Bird, our Head of Cross Country and Athletics, for organising their participation!
