PRINCE Charles visited Ely today (November 27th) as part of his Royal tour of East Anglia with his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall.

A number of King’s Ely students were able to have a quick chat with the Prince of Wales before he went into Ely Cathedral.

Inside the cathedral, five members of the school’s Spikes group and King’s Ely Sixth Form student Olivia Mills filled the Lady Chapel with beautiful music to entertain guests invited to the 40th birthday celebrations of the Stained Glass Museum.

Prince Charles cut a cake and signed the register before talking to invited guests whilst the cellists performed.
