The pennies have been counted and we can confirm that our Comic Relief Red Nose Day celebrations at King’s Ely Junior have raised more than £1,000!

On Friday (March 17th), we reported how a non-uniform day at King’s Ely Acremont Nursery and Pre-Prep had raised £160, with some more donations still to come in.

Over at our Prep (Years 3 to 8), pupils and staff added a ‘touch or red’ to their uniform and usual attire in honour of the annual campaign.

From carmine nail varnish and hair accessories to crimson face paint and socks, it was fabulous to see so much creativity on show!

Cake sales at breaktime and lunchtime, combined with generous donations from children and their families, have raised an impressive £1,069.

Thank you to everyone who made the day such a fruitful and smile-filled one – these photos taken by Mr Day capture just some of the antics!
