YEAR 6 King’s Ely Junior pupils visited Stamford’s beautiful Burghley House on September 10th.

The fun-filled art trip saw students participate in two workshops – ‘The Story Behind the Face’, where they looked at portraiture inside the house, and ‘Wire Dragonflies’, where they got creative with wire in the peaceful garden classroom.

Art Coordinator at King’s Ely Junior, Mrs Paling, said: “The sun shone for us and we were able to enjoy our lunch in the beautiful Sculpture Garden. Our annual art trip to Burghley House is always very popular with the children, and the guides and members of the public at Burghley always compliment our students on how well behaved and engaged they are.”
