AROUND 30 girls in Years 6, 7 and 8 at King’s Ely Junior travelled to Loughborough University on January 13th to watch three Netball Superleague matches.

First up was Loughborough Lightenings v Surrey Storm which the home team won convincingly. The second match saw Surrey take on Wasps which contained a number of international players including England’s Vice Captain Jade Clarke and Rachel Dunn. The final game was a thrilling match between Loughborough and Wasps.

Head of Girls’ Games at King’s Ely Junior, Amanda Kippax, said: “The girls thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to see some outstanding Netball and are now looking forward to their own Netball seasons to begin!”
