KING’s Ely Junior students Ben Marshall, Harry Marshall, and Elizabeth Carberry have all gained selection for the prestigious National Prep Schools Athletics Championships to be held in the Alexander Stadium, Birmingham on Monday 4th July.
In the Eastern Region qualifying meeting in Bedford, Harry Marshall was outstanding in winning the hurdles and coming 2nd in the 200 metres. Ben Marshall also qualified in the hurdles, and Elizabeth Carberry gained selection for her placing in the discus. The athletes were competing against others from 52 schools in the area and were overjoyed at their success. The boys relay team also reached the final.
