SIXTEEN of our King’s Ely International (KEI) students popped along to King’s Ely Acremont on November 6th as part of their Language Leaders Award programme.

The KEI students led several sessions with pupils in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2, teaching them all sorts of things, including basic phrases in their native languages and the different colours of their country’s flags.

Melanie Franklin, Head of ESOL at KEI, said: “Our KEI students really enjoyed sharing their languages and cultures with the children over at Acremont. The sixteen KEI students taught eight different languages between them. They are taking part in the Language Leader Award programme with Anglia Ruskin University. The pupils in Acremont were enthusiastic, engaged and keen to learn more. A great success for all!”
