THE King’s Ely Golf Academy has done it again – this time being crowned winners of the National Independent Schools Golf Association’s (ISGA) Plate Finals at Collingtree Park Golf Club.

Congratulations to the team – David Harris, Tom Stiff and Paul Collington – for bringing the silverware home to King’s Ely with a superb team score of 115 points.

In May, Paul and fellow King’s Ely Junior pupil, Ben Collier, also competed at the ISGA Junior Stableford, held at Sunningdale Heath Golf Club. Ben won the individual Net Prize on the day and the pair came second overall.

Just weeks before that, Paul won the prestigious Wellington College Silver Salver Team Nett Prize. Ben won the Nett Division on the day and fellow Golf Academy member, Thomas Jackson, claimed second in the Individual Division.

Golf is a popular choice of sport at King’s Ely, and as a school we firmly believe that students of all abilities should enjoy a wide a range of sporting experiences, whilst at the same time making the most of every opportunity to excel.
