A SIXTH form girl at King’s Ely has been selected for the inaugural cricket squad for the Surrey Stars Regional Development Centre.

Millie Oddi, 17, a pupil at the school for 6 years, where she started her love of cricket, was one of few from the region to gain entry into the winter camps, which takes place at Whitgift School in Croydon. The aim of the centre is to produce future players for both the Surrey Stars and England.

Ben Edmondson, Head of Cricket at King’s Ely, was delighted on hearing this news: “I want to congratulate Millie on this fantastic achievement. This is just one step in her journey and I hope she grabs the opportunity to impress in these camps. We are very proud of her and wish her all the best for her training and future trials.”
