ASHLEY Handscomb, Manager of Ely Foodbank, visited King’s Ely Junior on December 6th to collect the HUGE amount of items donated by pupils, families and staff through our ‘Twelve Charitable Days of Christmas’ initiative.

Each House at King’s Ely Junior was tasked to bring in three different items of food/drink for the collection. And to say the school community threw their support behind the campaign would be a slight understatement!

From Christmas puddings to stuffing mix and tins of custard to jars of pickles, boxes upon boxes of goodies have been donated to the Foodbank, whose team of volunteers will now work tirelessly to distribute them to local people in need this festive season.

Thank you to everyone who supported the initiative and to Ashley and the Foodbank team… Keep up the good work!
