Our Chamber Choir were on fabulous form at St Paul’s Cathedral this week!

More than 500 people heard them sing Evensong in the capital on November 27th. Music included ‘Stanford in A’, ‘O Clap Your Hands’, and ‘Preces and Responses’.

Mr Neil Porter-Thaw, our Director of Music, said: “The Choir really were at their very best – their performances were exquisite. The clergy at St. Paul’s commented on the quality of the singing, and of course Mr Dempsey’s organ playing.

“Apart from getting soaked during the short walk to St Paul’s, the rest of the day was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The Choir rehearsed in the song school in the crypt, before moving up to the main body of the Cathedral to experience the epic acoustic delay.

“Congratulations to the Choir, thank you to Mr Dempsey, Mr North, Mrs Wright, and Revd Dr Lane, and thank you to everyone who came along to support us. It was wonderful to see and catch up with so many parents, Old Eleans, former Choristers, and friends. A fantastic day all round!”
