YEAR 1 pupils at King’s Ely Acremont have been learning more about the British sculptor, photographer and environmentalist Andy Goldsworthy OBE, and were so inspired by his beautiful creations that they wanted to make their own.

Working collaboratively, they collected natural materials from around the garden (and borrowed some from their Reception friends!) arranging spirals and geometric shapes using twigs, logs, bark, shells, pebbles, leaves and flowers.

At King’s Ely Acremont, adventurous learning is inspired by an exciting and dynamic curriculum. Creativity is often primarily associated with the arts (Music, Art, Dance and Drama) but at King’s Ely Acremont, creativity is equally fundamental in Science, Mathematics, Technology and all aspects of everyday life.
