GEOGRAPHY students from King’s Ely Junior were in their element exploring the footfall and retail habits of Ely High Street.

Year 7 pupils completed a Clone Town Analysis ahead of coming up with some ideas for how the High Street can stave off competition from online shopping and changing retail habits – ie: are the shops doing well? Who shops there?

Pupils collected some primary data and used maps from ‘Digimap for Schools’ to plot retail use and change. They also observed the level of footfall and spoke to some of the shop owners, which provided them with some very insightful data.
