FORMER Conservative Party Politician and King’s Ely Governor Jim Paice popped into King’s Ely Junior on May 10th.
Jim, who was MP for South East Cambridgeshire between 1987 and 2015, when he stood down from Parliament, hosted two debating workshops with some of our Year 7 and 8 students.
Jim, who was also the Minister of State at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) from 2010 to 2012, offered our young debaters plenty of tips and advice to help them make their arguments and points stronger.
