OUR new Sports Webinar programme kicked off yesterday evening (March 10th) with rugby legend James Haskell!

Students and staff joined James on Zoom and heard lots of fascinating things about his action-packed life – and they were able to ask him questions.

James is a former rugby player for England, Lions and Saints. He was capped 77 times for England during his 17-year professional rugby career. He is also an MMA star, podcaster, DJ and Sunday Times bestselling author.

Henning Kaaber, Director of Sport at King’s Ely and who organised the webinar, said: “James fielded questions from pupils and staff on a variety of topics, sharing his thoughts on training, diet, motivation and technical rugby points, as well as mental health, professionalism in sport and the current state of English rugby. He also shared some personal insights into his experiences on ‘I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!’, his MMA training, the books he has written, and his DJing.

“It was fantastic to have someone of James’ experience and humour as our first guest and the webinar was hugely enjoyed by all who attended. More webinars are planned for after Easter!”
