QUEEN Emma were the winners of this year’s Humphries Challenge!

The annual event takes place at King’s Ely Junior towards the end of the Summer Term and sees Year 8 students competing, in their Houses, in a variety of challenges designed to test their strength, courage, strategy, communication and team skills.

The challenge is held in memory of Christopher Humphries, who had a love of outdoor learning and who was heavily involved with our outdoor education programme, Ely Scheme.

Well done to everyone involved and congratulations, of course, to Queen Emma! House Captains, Jemma Basford and Ben Alderton, were presented with the shield by Mr Oliver and Mr Boothroyd.

Thank you also to Ely Scheme Pupil Instructors, Alex, Nia and Emily, who gave up their spare time post examinations to come into school to instruct during the challenge.
