LOVE was the theme of our A Level Drama and Theatre students’ final devised examination performance.

Year 12 students, Alexandra Bowerman, Cate Dougherty, Thomas Bateman and Rosy Ruggiero, developed their thirty-minute piece from scratch and performed it in front of a small audience.

Their piece, entitled ‘It feels like…’, was inspired by the artistic intentions and working methodologies of the renowned British theatre company, Frantic Assembly.

Oliver Pengelly, our Director of Drama and Theatre, said: “The students used a quotation as a starting point and worked with great intensity to devise their piece, which explored the theme of love; what it means to love and to be loved. This was a touching piece that prompted much reflection and discussion amongst the audience. Congratulations to all four of the students involved and thank you for developing such thought-provoking performance work.”
