OLD Elean and former Head Boy, Felix Hawes, paid us a visit earlier this month.

Felix, pictured here with Gill Smith, our Director of Higher Education and Graduate Careers, spoke to current Year 12 students on March 11th as part of our ‘Higher Education and Graduate Careers: Visiting Speakers’ programme.

Felix, who started his King’s journey in 2005 when he joined King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep in Reception, is now in his final year at the University of Nottingham, where he is studying Politics.

Felix spoke to Year 12s about University life, the transition from Sixth Form to University, and about the importance of extra-curricular activities, both in school and at University.

Other talks we have held for Year 12s this term have included Business Management and Hospitality Degrees at Global Universities; the Higher Apprenticeship Scheme at PricewaterhouseCoopers PwC; Graduate Careers in the Forces; and Law: Entry Routes into the Legal Profession.

Our Sixth Form provision and higher education programmes were highlighted as excellent in our latest Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) Inspection Report.
